The Amazing place we call Home

Our trip to Coral Cove was something our family will never forget. Dave picked us up. Our first stop was a little optical shop because I left my contact lens case at home. Then we walked around the corner to a grocery store for Red Stripes and juices for the kids. We could not believe how close the cars get to one another when they pass each other. Dave was very nice. A great driver! He took us through the mountains to Coral Cove. We then stopped for jerk chicken. I can not remember the name of the place. Very good!

The property is very well taken care of. The rooms are beautiful. We stayed in the Momma Beach with 4 adults and 2 children. The room was spacious and beautiful. I loved the large shower. Our room was cleaned perfectlyeveryday. Never once did we run out of towels! That is a first in our travels.I was a bit worried at first because it was so hot during the day, that I was afraid I would be to hot to go to sleep. With the wonderful breezes that came in and a shower before bed, we slept like babies.

All of our meals were yummy and healthy! Fresh orange juice every morning was my favorite. The kitchen staff was friendly and wonderful cooks! My 2 little girls liked to disappear to the kitchen to help with the cooking or set the tables. The ladies did not mind one bit. We loved the little beach bar. My 3 and 6 year old would visit it frequently to have fresh fruit smoothies. The bartenders were the best. I think our group kept them pretty busy.

Our wedding day was perfect. The arch was beautiful and made that morning. My bouquet was perfect. Everyone worked very hard to give us beautiful memories. Leila was a very professional wedding coordinator. I consider myself lucky to have her help. Sarah did a great job with tying the palms! Ritchie took our pictures. They were very good. Megan Lee took our video. She was amazing. Her pictures were also wonderful! We had the steel band play. We had so much fun dancing and listening to the beautiful music.

On our excursions to Negril, Wabba was our driver. Paul took the other half of our group. They stayed with us through out the day. Wabba is a great guy! Sef is one of the nicest people we have ever met. He’s good to his employees and treats his guests like old friends. Our last morning at Coral Cove he was in the kitchen with the ladies cooking a breakfast for us so we did not have to leave on empty stomachs. I would also like to say that we felt so safe at this resort that my 3 and 6 year old would run around the property and play on their own without fear of any stranger danger. You can’t get that at large resorts. Coral Cove is secluded. It is definitely a trip that will show you the un-touristy side of Jamaica. We would not have had it any other way! Most of our money did go to paying someone to take us into Negril. That was fine with us. We knew when we returned to Coral Cove we would not get lost in the crowds of other guests. It was like coming back home. I have to say we were sad to leave. As soon as we can get our vacation fund filled back up, we will be back. There is no better place for us. We honestly left a large piece of our hearts in Little Bay.
