The Seal of our Confession

Catholic’s around the globe believes, Is never binding upon the penitent.  It applies only to the confessor, anyone authorized to translate, etc., and upon anyone who might overhear the penitent’s confession.  The penitent may record the confession and the priests comments, penance, etc. openly or secretly.  Every penitent has the right to be hidden behind a screen in a manner where the priest is never able to see the penitent directly or indirectly.  This, except in unusual situations, should be the norm in regard to anyone under the age of twenty and for all women.  Even in unusual circumstances either the penitent, the priest, or both should be observable to others at a distance.  Any other presentation should be understood as a ploy to serve an immoral purpose.  Those waiting to have their confessions heard should be a sufficient distance away so that confessions will not be overheard.  To aid in this background filler sounds, not entertainment or otherwise disturbing, may be used.

No lay person or priest should consider themselves held bound to clearly non-moral civil or ecclesiastical authorities.  It is better to loose one’s temporal position than to spend eternity in Hell.  Feelings, emotions, or personal opinions are insufficient to use to oppose legal authorities and may bring about disassociation with God.
